Tab is not free-for-all. To use the app, every member of a tab needs to hold at least $50 USD in $TAB in a wallet linked to their account. It is the only filter, and it is what aligns the token's community with the product's user base.
How the gate actually works.
On login, the app opens your embedded wallet and reads your $TAB balance on Solana. It multiplies by the spot price (Jupiter Price API) and compares against $50.
If you're above: a 7-day pass. For that week you can open tabs, invite, fund the pool and settle — even if the $TAB price drops and you fall under the threshold. On day 8 it re-checks.
This design neutralises token volatility: you don't get locked out mid-trip because $TAB dropped 20% in an afternoon.
